With a crystal pendulum swinging over a square card placed over a magnetic box, he rattles away names of diseases that you might be suffering from. He claims that he has the prescription to cure even dreaded diseases like AIDS. Except that "it will be a costly affair" Newspaper and magazine reports make high contention of the potential of this man, of his having cured infertility, brought patients out of coma and curing many suffering from near fatal diseases. Gem therapy and 'dowsing' is his trade secret. Did we hear quack, quack! For facts read on.
"Ovarian cyst, hormonal imbalance, migraine, TB in the genetic code, slip disc etc,"he points out on the card that is called the 'seat of disease' as the pendulumstarts swinging.
And you begin to nod in acquiescence. For you realize that what this man sitting in front of you is talking is not just chance. 'Then is it magic? You say. "I am no conjurer," he says. "It is the ancient science scripted in our Vedas," he defines, while you cannot help noticing hundreds of medicine bottles stacked in his cabinet. "The science of the gem therapy," he elaborates. He then does a bit of explaining. "My prescription is based on the science of Ratna Rasayana," he says.

He continues amidst minor distractions like the VIPs queuing up outside and the incessant ringing of the phone. "Every cell, tissue and organ is the manifestation of the nine cosmic rays." And. "At times the inward and outward forces disturb the equilibrium of these rays which is strengthened by means of co lour radiation from gems." And. "Disease is a ray of wrong frequency."
Period. Well, for once, the ringing of the phones and names of the clients from all over the world make you gawk at him in wonder. Then you don't doubt his claim, for so convincing, accurate and genuine Is his administration of his gem therapy that it will perhaps make even a hardcore Doubting Thomas do some rethinking.
Besides the plethora of medicine bottles and stacks of books you cannot help noticing an element of spirituality around him. No wonder then, that in his tiny room this unassuming man takes you to a different plane. Pendulum, magnetic board, a pile of white cards on his table, gem stones et al. Add to that 20 years of research. This doc definitely has something to offer. And advice too! "Don't buy precious or semi-precious stones blindly for you may end up wearing those that have negative vibrations," he cautions.

At 19, M S Chauhan developed high fever and got paralysed. "The disease was diagnosed as Guillian Barre - Syndrome which causes the wasting away of the organs," he says. "Experiencing a lack of movement and sensation in the legs and arms was frightening. "He tried everything that was suggested to him, and finally responded to one unique mode of treatment-gem therapy. Since the past 15 years, DrChauhan, now 39, has Dedicated his life to healing people with this therapy.
The root of gem therapy lies in the Vedas. Says Deepa, 33, "I was unable to conceive a second child and experienced a very irregular menstrual cycle.
